The Age of Consequences looks at climate change through the lens of resources scarcity, economic migration, US national security, and global stability. PF Pictures asked me to build a WordPress site, a mirror site to that of the their previously released film, to deliver information about the film and featured interviews, to present the filmmakers’ goals, and to outline ways their audience can get involved and support the project.

PF Pictures’ Requiem for the American Dream premiered January of 2016  featuring intellectual powerhouse Noam Chomsky outlining the country’s enormous economic inequities. The film’s webspace was to be a locus for press and information about the film, screenings times, and outreach efforts.

Jared Scott and Kelly Nyks asked me to build a site that would not only exhibit their film work, but communicate clearly their company’s mission as well. The homepage boasts, “We are devoted to artful and arresting stories that make action irresistible,” and their claim is well supported through case studies, a strategy statement, biographic information, and a company profile.

Structure Films approached me to design their visual identity and home webspace. Jason and David were interested in using a model of electromagnetism as the basis of their logo to reinforce their science-in-film mission. We put together a dynamic, WordPress site that uses video, full width elements, and tall, scrolling pages to engage the visitor.

Structure Films raised $859,425 through Kickstarter for their Bill Nye Film project. For the campaign I develop graphics based on the quirky segments and 90’s-era graphics from Nye’s original PBS/Disney TV show. We were able to tap into a generational nostalgia for Nye’s science-education enthusiasm and blow way past their $650,000 goal. Science Rules!

Structure Films tasked me with building a small landing page for their project in development. That page has since grown a bit into the Bill Nye Film home and our work together spilled into a Kickstarter campaign, complete with gifs, infographics, and rewards designs.

Cat Trick Films, an up-start production company based in San Francisco, needed help building a brand. I collaborated with the three primary filmmakers to produce a fun, fresh portfolio site to showcase their talent and attract new clients. The site uses Javascript to simulate folders opening and closing, allowing the viewer to show and hide portfolio categories.

Lana Wilson is an Emmy Award winning documentary filmmaker. Her website presents her projects and relevant press clippings. The site was designed to quietly present it’s content and the design foregrounds the identity mark I designed for Lana’s personal brand.

Documentary filmmaker Jamie Meltzer follows four advocates for those wrongfully convicted by Dallas’ flawed justice system as they gather evidence to exonerate their defendants. Trueconvictionfilm.com is a home for the film’s trailer, allows visitors to sign up to receive email notifications about the film, and offers a booking-request tool for group screenings.

Filmmakers Martha Shane and Lana Wilson document the lives of four doctors providing late term abortions in the Emmy Award Winning doc After Tiller. This “intimate and heartfelt” [LA Times] doc needed a clean WordPress site for it’s premier at Sundance and subsequent tour to festivals throughout the country.
