Ailey, a feature documentary about renown choreographer Ailvin Ailey, premiered at the 2021 online-only Sundance Film Festival. A website of dedicated to the film seemed a logical extension of its festival presence. The site’s visual design builds off a fundraising deck I designed for Insignia Films’ Producer Lauren DeFilippo and Director Jamila Wignot. I’ve also borrowed this great title treatment from work done by Genuine Article. Ailey himself leaps across the screen to welcome you the world of the documentary.
Filmmakers Anna Moot-Levin and Laura Green asked me to design a poster and build a WordPress site to promote their new documentary about medical services providers in rural New Mexico. Jared Scott and Kelly Nyks asked me to build a site that would not only exhibit their film work, but communicate clearly their company’s mission as well. The homepage boasts, “We are devoted to artful and arresting stories that make action irresistible,” and their claim is well supported through case studies, a strategy statement, biographic information, and a company profile.
Structure Films approached me to design their visual identity and home webspace. Jason and David were interested in using a model of electromagnetism as the basis of their logo to reinforce their science-in-film mission. We put together a dynamic, WordPress site that uses video, full width elements, and tall, scrolling pages to engage the visitor.

Structure Films tasked me with building a small landing page for their project in development. That page has since grown a bit into the Bill Nye Film home and our work together spilled into a Kickstarter campaign, complete with gifs, infographics, and rewards designs.
